JOB DESCRIPTION
Position: Production Engineer / Sr. Production Engineer
Years of Experience: 3 to 4 years
Location: Chinchwad, Pune
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Material Receipt:
- Supervise Fabrication: Oversee the day-to-day fabrication of stainless-steel tanks on the shop floor, ensuring high quality and timely production.
- Team Management: Lead and manage a team of workers, including welders, fitters, and fabricators, making sure everyone follows safety and production standards.
- Task Scheduling: Plan and allocate tasks to workers, making sure that deadlines are met, and work is completed efficiently.
- Quality Control: Inspect tanks during production to ensure proper welding, polishing, and finishing meet food-grade standards.
- Problem Solving: Quickly identify and solve any issues that arise during fabrication, such as material defects, welding problems, or equipment malfunctions.
- Safety Compliance: Make sure the team follows all safety protocols and that the shop floor is a safe working environment.
- Reporting: Keep track of production progress and report any delays or issues to management.
Technical & Essential Skills
- Fabrication Knowledge: Strong understanding of stainless-steel tank fabrication, including welding techniques and polishing for food-grade tanks.
- Drawing Interpretation: Ability to read and understand engineering drawings, specifications, and layouts for tank fabrication.
- Bill of Materials (BOM) Expertise: Familiarity with creating and using BOMs, ensuring that the right materials are used in the right quantities.
Qualification
Diploma or B.E. in Mechanical Engineering, Fabrication, or a related field.
Experience:
- • Minimum 3-4 years of experience in managing fabrication teams and handling similar projects in stainless steel tank manufacturing.
- • Preferred: Experience working with food-grade stainless steel tanks and knowledge of relevant industry standards.
