JOB DESCRIPTION
Position: Stores Executive / Stroes In-Charge
Years of Experience: 4+ years
Location: Pune
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Material Receipt:
- Oversee the receipt of all materials and components required for production, ensuring that quantities and quality match the purchase orders.
- Verify and inspect incoming materials for any damage or discrepancies and coordinate with the procurement team for any issues.
- Accurately record received materials in the inventory management system and ensure they are properly labelled and stored.
Issuance to Production:
- Manage the timely issuance of materials and components to the production department based on production schedules and requisitions.
- Maintain accurate records of materials issued, ensuring that production teams receive the correct quantities as needed.
- Monitor stock levels and notify the procurement team of any impending shortages to avoid production delays.
Dispatch of Materials:
- Coordinate and oversee the accurate dispatch of finished goods and other materials leaving the factory.
- Ensure that all dispatched materials are properly packed, labelled, and documented, adhering to company policies and customer requirements.
- Liaise with logistics and transport teams to ensure timely and efficient delivery of dispatched materials.
Inventory Management:
- Maintain accurate inventory records, regularly updating the ERP system with all transactions related to receipt, issuance, and dispatch of materials.
- Conduct regular stock checks and audits to ensure inventory accuracy and report any discrepancies to the Manager – Materials.
- Assist in the preparation of inventory reports and other documentation as required.
Safety and Compliance:
- Ensure that all materials are stored safely and in accordance with company guidelines, maintaining a clean and organized store area.
- Follow safety protocols during material handling and storage to prevent accidents and ensure compliance with company policies.
Qualifications:
- Diploma or certificate in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field.
- 4+ years of experience in stores or inventory management, preferably in the engineering or manufacturing sector.
- Basic knowledge of ERP systems (experience with [Specific ERP System] is a plus).
- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.
